Outof everyone on that list, I could only pick Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell and Layne Staley as being singers and songwriters who really spoke to me, and Cornell is my top pick, easily. Eddie and Layne are/were on the nose completely as lyricists and songwriters, which is fine, but Cornell has a weirder, more out there approach.
